MAIL ORDER SERVICE  

 

OUR PRICES FOR MAIL ORDER CUSTOMERS COMPARE FAVOURABLY WITH OTHER MAIL ORDER COMPANIES, BECAUSE WE DO NOT OVERCHARGE FOR POSTAGE.  YOU WILL ONLY PAY A SMALL FEE (ABOUT 50p) ABOVE THE CARRIER'S COST.

 

WE WILL LET YOU PAY WITH POSTAGE STAMPS FOR VERY SMALL ORDERS.

 

YOU WILL ALSO GET FREE ADVICE ON ANY MATTER CONCERNING YOUR ORDER, EITHER BY PHONE OR EMAIL.

 

OURS IS A PERSON-TO-PERSON SERVICE, NOT A FRUSTRATING INTERNET EXPERIENCE.  IT IS ALSO SECURE!!

 

At Sugar Daddy’s, we are proud of our Mail Order Service, because we are usually able to get goods to our customers the next day, our post and packing charges are sensible, and we can offer an advice service which no other mail order company seems to want to do!  So far we have resisted selling through the website, because we think that the personal touch disappears.  We are more interested in fully satisfying our customers than having a 24/7 system which disappoints when the supplier is out of stock or has no real interest in solving the customer's problem by suggesting an alternative.  We go to great lengths to help our customers, and that is how we want it to stay.

   

Stock Range.  Our stock comes from many suppliers, some who have nothing to do with the sugarcraft trade, so our product range is very wide indeed:  something like 8,000 items on the computer!

 

Catalogue.  We are no longer going to have a printed catalogue.  You can see many of our products on the Guy Paul & Co Ltd website at www.guypaul.co.uk, or Culpitt Ltd www.culpitt.com.

 

Minimum Cost Ordering.  Although we do not have an 0800 telephone number, our system works like one.  Customers, who wish to place orders, telephone or FAX us or contact us via the web site; we take note of their telephone number then call back to take the order or to discuss other options.  When the order has been put together, we telephone again to let the customer know the cost of individual items, the total price and postage charge.  Only then does the customer have to decide whether or not to place the order.  Call or fax 01480 471200 or send us an email with your contact number.

 

Payment.  Payment can be made by credit or debit card over the telephone, or by cheque.  If payment is by card, the goods are sent immediately; if by cheque, the goods are sent when the cheque arrives.  Most orders are sent first class through the Post Office system, and usually arrive next day.  Heavier parcels (perhaps over 5 kilos) can be sent by Parcelforce 24-hour delivery if needed.  We tell you the cost of postage before we send the order, so you are always in control.

 

Low Value Orders.  Many mail order companies charge excessively on small value orders.  We usually suggest that the customer sends a self-addressed envelope, to save postage charges, and that payment is made with postage stamps.  We often have customers who perhaps only want a metre of ribbon, or an inexpensive cutter,  and they are very pleased to be able to get them with minimum fuss.  Our “local” customers can be as far away as Newmarket or Kettering!  It costs a lot to travel 30 or 40 miles just to get an ounce (sorry, 28 grams) of gum trag!!

 

Overseas Orders.  We have customers all over the world.  Those living in Continental Europe usually receive their orders two days after posting.  Our ex-students and other customers in Japan, and other parts of the world, receive their air mailed orders in about six days.
